185 homes plan before planners
A PLANNING application to build 185 homes in Bovey Tracey is to go before planners.
The Bradley Road development has received almost 800 objections along with 400 supporting it.
It will be discussed by the Teignbridge Council's planning committee on Monday. The application also includes 915 square metres of employment land, public open space and would require the re-alignment of the B3344.
The application is seeking approval for means of access on land designated as countryside. There's also an outline application to construct 20 self-build homes.

Teignbridge Council has recommended that if the application gets the go ahead, the applicant, Mr G Langworthy, should set aside 30 per cent affordable homes at the site.
The local authority also wants a contribution of £123,400 for outdoor sports, £32,690 for a multi use games area and £127,604. It also wants an educational contribution of £582,277 and more than half a million pounds to improve the town's 39 bus service.
Bovey Tracey Town Council and Hennock Parish Council have objected to the application.
