Aaron Downes is Torquay United's August Player of the Month
AARON Downes has been named the Torquay United Player of the Month for August.
The Australian defender won a tight vote from United supporters, just pipping striker Rene Howe to the top slot, with goalkeeper Michael Poke in third place.

Nine different players received nominations and Downes came out as number one after scoring in each of the Gulls' two home games last month.
