Alan Knill adds Brass to United coaching team and seeks further reinforcements
Alan Knill is still determined to add at least one more loan signing to Torquay United's squad after a second brave away point in the space of five days, this time away to npower League Two play-offs contenders Southend United.
The crucial point gave the Gulls' hopes of beating relegation another boost.

Knill, who confirmed that his former Bury number two Chris Brass has joined his coaching staff until the end of the season, revealed: "We needed to bring Joss Labadie and Jordan Chapell in, and we're still looking to sign more players.
"We're getting more competition for places, which is vital, and it makes having the shirt and keeping the shirt a priority."

After the arrivals of midfielder Labadie – his second goal in successive games earned the draw at Roots Hall – and winger Chapell, Knill is thought to have a striker at the top of his "shopping list".
But, although he is intent on strengthening his squad further, Knill was clearly pleased with Saturday's display.
"The players are so committed, and we look a threat now," he said.
"As long as we've got that, it gives us a great chance.
"Tuesday night at Dagenham [where his side 2-2] set a benchmark for us to reach, and we had that again today.
"Southend are one of the better teams in the league, and no one gave us any hope, but by the end of the game we had as many chances as them, and looked as dangerous as they did.
"I am so pleased for the players and for the travelling supporters, but to be honest I'm disappointed that it wasn't three points.
"I think we are getting there, but it's all about results.
"We have to turn these away performances into home performances, and we've got two big games at home coming up now on Tuesday and next Saturday.
"People can say that other results could have gone better for us today, but, if we keep going, there will be a day when results will go for us."
Joss Labadie, on loan from Notts County, had scored from point-blank range at Dagenham in midweek and he was not much further out for his equaliser at Southend.
"I'm deadly from that range," he quipped, "but it's all about being in the right place at the right time.
"Just before half-time is also a great time to score, and to go in level at half-time was a massive boost.
"Southend are just outside the play-offs, so it's a good point for us away from home."
Southend manager Paul Sturrock, who faces his old club Plymouth Argyle at Roots Hall tomorrow night, said: "I'm frustrated because I thought we deserved to win that game.
"We started very well, but then missed chances.
"We've got to show more if we are to get back in the play-offs, but we've got a lot of players out.
"Having to make changes every game is very tough. A manager finds it easiest when they have a settled team, and we haven't had that for a while now. But while I was disappointed on Tuesday [when his side lost 3-1 at home Wimbledon], I'm disappointed for the players today because they deserved more."
