Aqua zumba classes at port pool
A BRIXHAM swimming pool has become the first in the Bay to run new aqua-aerobic fitness sessions.
The Admiral Centre in Higher Ranscombe Road has become the first swimming pool to run aqua zumba, a water based version of the popular studio based exercise programme.
The first ever classes were held late last month with at least 55 people turning up to the class.
Centre manager Phil Thomas said: "We have officially joined the party and are proud to be the first pool in the Bay to run aqua zumba classes.

"We've had some fantastic feedback so we hope the classes will continue to run with great success."
The classes were delivered by local zumba instructor and fitness trainer Sarah Clout of SH Fitness, who said: "I was delighted to be approached by the swimming centre to deliver aqua zumba and was thrilled by the response. Tuesday night felt like one massive party in the pool."
The Admiral Centre will be offering regular aqua zumba classes on Tuesday evenings between 7.30pm and 8.30pm and Thursday mornings between 10.15am and 11.15am.
