Author visits for 'girl talk'
A GROUP of students from Newton Abbot College met local author Luisa Plaja in a special 'girl talk' get-together.
Luisa, who writes teenage fiction for girls, met the girls to discuss what it takes to be an author.

She spoke out the life of an author, writer's block, creating storylines, building characters and getting published.
Year nine student Justyna Dymek said: "After meeting Luisa I now know how hard it is to write a novel."
Tayla Jade Brown was also very enthusiastic, adding: "Luisa told us about her website for teenage fiction called 'Chicklish'. She asks young people to review teenage books for it.
"The winning reviews from Newton Abbot College students were put on the website.
"Mine was one of those chosen and I felt so proud.
"It was great fun to read all the reviews from our college.
"Some of the books sounded very emotional and others very funny."
Several students have since volunteered to become regular book reviewers for the website and they will be receiving their first review titles shortly.
