Award winning poet Ann Gray visits Paignton Library
Award-winning poet Ann Gray will be visiting Paignton Library and Information Centre on Saturday 15 December to read extracts of her latest work 'At the Gate' which explores the aftermath of a sudden bereavement.
Ann will be reading her work 1pm and those attending will have the opportunity to ask questions. The event is free but booking is required by phoning the library on 01803 208321.
TV personality Clive James is a fan of Ann's work and has said: "Ann Gray's work is a measured but sumptuous revelation, like the sun coming up a few inches at a time. Perception and emotional honesty aren't just connected, but share the same nervous system. The poet who can effortlessly name every kind of fish and flower can also identify all the stages of love and loss. This collection is the garden of the heart laid bare.”
Executive Lead for Culture and Arts Cllr Dave Butt, said: "We are delighted that Ann will be visiting Paignton Library and Information Centre to share some of her amazing work with our local community.
