BREAKING NEWS: Helicopter called in after Torquay head-on crash
THE police helicopter was hovering over the Hele area of Torquay this afternoon after a head-on car crash.
Two cars, a Nissan and a Rover, collided at Barton Hill Way.

Police, ambulance and firefighters were at the scene.
The extent of any injuries was not known.

“Where I live in Torquay double parking is everywhere. Just coming out of a side road is dangerous because your sight is blocked by parked cars - it's a case of inching out gradually until you can see. It is a real nightmare and something DEFINITELY needs to be done.”

“The amount of cars and commercial vehicles parked on this road plus sharp bends and moterists failing to adhere to speed limits equals a head on crash.
Something seriouly needs to be done to address this situation and the parking on Cassioburyway.
Is most of this caused by the building works? Maybe they should improve their onsite facilities?
The roundabouts are not much better - you are supposed to give away!”

“I drove through this road today and seeing this news was not a shock to me !
People are parking on both sides of this road all the way down this road and making it just wide enough for one car to pass through. Added to this the bends in this road and the danger is obvious to anyone.
Something needs to be done to stop the double parking on this road or we will be having this road closed again very soon.”
