Woman treated, dogs rescued in Paignton house fire
A 53-YEAR old woman and her four dogs were rescued unharmed from a fire that broke out in a third floor flat in Merritt Road in the St Michael's area of town.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the fire that is believed to have started in the lounge on Friday morning.

The woman was found in a back bedroom.
She was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by paramedics.

Two fire crews from Paignton were sent to the scene along with ambulance, police and the aerial platform fire appliance from Torquay.
The blaze is not being treated as suspicious.
Fire officers are likely to remain on scene for the next hour as a precaution.
