PAIGNTON-BASED folk stompers Paddy's Whiskers will be part of the line-up at Brixham's brilliant Fishstock Festival on Saturday.

The one-day extravaganza will see half a dozen bands from South Devon playing pop, jazz and rock.

Fishstock Brixham is celebration of the fishing, seafood and maritime heritage of the port.

The music begins at 11am on the main Coombe Fisheries-sponsored stage with The Storm from Kingsbridge, while on the acoustic stage things will kick off with well-known local duo Southern Comfort.

Bands new to Fishstock on the main stage include Jessica and the Rabbits, Empire of Fools, Duke Johnson and the Scorchers and Hysteria.

Headline act will be Sax-Appeal, based in Dartmouth.

Other acts to appear on the acoustic stage on the North Quay include show regulars Maggie Duffy and Mike Weed, Dave Johnson, the Old Gaffers, Swashbuckle and Ian Hunt.

Also on stage will be Banned from the Moor, Quay Harmony, Devon Bird, Alex Gregory and Tricorn Shonkey.
