SARAH Barnes, a Year Nine student at Newton Abbot College, has been invited to attend South Devon district ladies' cricket trials.

Barnes was talent spotted from 50 girls during the recent Lady Taverner's indoor cricket session in Exeter.

FORMER Torquay, Bovey Tracey and Barton captain Ian Coulton has announced his retirement after 34 seasons in local cricket. Coulton was with Brixham last season.
