Bay brothers' website design team is celebrities' choice
LUKE and Tom Hutton's Paignton-based web design business has completed two of its highest profile web builds with sites for a celebrated father and his daughter.
The brothers set up luketom.com in 2006 when they brought their respective businesses together to draw on a wealth of experience gained in the graphic design and print industry.

Comedian Ade Edmondson, currently comfortably withstanding the heat of chef Marco Pierre White's Hell's Kitchen, chose luketom.com to design a site promoting his new band, The Bad Shepherds (www.thebadshepherds.com)
Meanwhile Ade's folk singing daughter Ella also chose the brothers to promote her album Hold Your Horses (www.ellaedmondson.net) which can be bought and downloaded on the site.
"Both Ade and Ella wanted the ability to input information and pictures to their sites," said Luke.
"They both have a content management system which allows them to update the information on the sites themselves.
He added: "This is proving very popular as it gives clients total flexibility with the content of their websites, and consequently will always be up-to-date with the latest news and information as it happens."
The brothers trained at South Devon College Torquay and the Plymouth College of Art and Design.
Luke then spent 10 years managing the production department of the AutoTrader magazine in the South West, eventually leaving to set-up Hutton Design which he is still running today.
Tom joined Luke working on the regional motor magazine and then went on to manage the design studio at Devon Life magazine in Totnes. After leaving in 1998, Tom also went on to run his own successful business, TRH Design, which he is also still running today.
"We were both in the same line of work, only for different clients," said Luke. "So it seemed a natural progression to combine our resources in recent years.
"I then decided to learn how to build web sites, so in my spare time got my head down and developed a few simple web sites on my own.
"As this side of the business grew we could no longer cope with the demand and now have full time staff specifically employed for our web builds.
"But it's a real team effort. In fact, only recently we've employed another person to cope with the demand".
Tom added: "We've been really lucky in the current climate to still be building our business and expanding our client base.
"We've also been fortunate enough to build websites for some celebrity clients such as Adrian and Ella.
"Although we are established and service a good number of blue chip clients, we pride ourselves in giving great value for money and our web packages start from just £199."
He added: "We believe a professional web presence will be one of the major factors in the success or failure of local businesses over the next 12 months.
"Recognised business analysts agree with current projections that say businesses with a professional internet presence are more likely to survive the recession and flourish in the up turn, than those which don't.
"At luketom.com we have a young and vibrant team of people with great ideas, a passion for our work and a professional yet cost effective pricing structure.
"We'd be delighted to here from anyone who either needs a new website building from scratch or maybe their current site is stale and not performing how they'd hoped!"

Design and marketing for print-based media is also still very much an essential part of the company's current services and skill base.
