HAVING not just survived but expanded in their first 20 months of business, SecureForce UK Ltd has been named best new business in South Devon.

The Newton Abbot based company were finalists for the second year running — and this year scooped a winning accolade, pipping Oceans LLP and Platinum Plus Healthcare to the post.

The business was set by Marc Wain and Kevin Schmidt who had previously worked in the security industry.

Mr Wain said: "It is an absolutely fantastic result for us. We are a new and expanding local company and to be recognised locally is what it is all about. We hope it will help us develop an already excellent relationship with local customers."

The company sends its team of security guards into the night to patrol offices, building sites and factories across the region.

Each guard has a CCTV camera strapped to his chest recording everything he sees and allowing the client peace of mind that everything is safe and sound.

Their winning formula saw them expand to Newbury last month.
