Farmer Phil Bond will explain what’s involved during the tour of the farm which has panoramic views of Dartmoor.
The farm has recently undertaken work as part of the Catchment Sensitive Farming scheme to protect the Dart Estuary
This farm visit is one of a series to raise awareness of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in particular to celebrate local farming, educating children especially about how their food is produced and the link with the landscape.
The farm has engaged in a Countryside Stewardship Scheme which involves repairing hedges and enhancing wildlife habitats, as well as reinstating an orchard. Farmer Phil Bond attends Farmers’ Markets at Kingsbridge on 1st and 3rd Saturday each month and Dartmouth on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
Afternoon tea will be available after the walk. For inquiries call 01803 861384.
