Torquay United boss is ready to hone Nathan Craig's talent 'until it sparkles'
Manager Martin Ling believes that Torquay United, who sold midfielder Eunan O'Kane to AFC Bournemouth for £175,000 in the summer, may have found another precious talent in Nathan Craig.
The 20-year-old Welshman made only his second npower League Two start in Saturday's 0-0 draw against local rivals Plymouth Argyle, and he was named "man of the match" after a cultured midfield display.

Ling said: "Nathan hardly gave the ball away, especially in the first half, and I think we may have unearthed another real diamond. We'll rubbing it until it sparkles."
Craig, who learned his trade at Everton, was plucked out of Welsh Premier League football with his home-town club Caernarfon Town last season. He is happy with how things are going at Plainmoor.

Craig said: "Playing just in front of the back-four is a new role for me, but I'm feeling comfortable there. If I can find space, which you do there, I know I can pass the ball."
Reviewing last Saturday's game, Craig added: "Everyone is disappointed with a draw, because we had a lot of chances, especially in the first half. But we'll keep doing what we're doing, and I'm sure we're going to have a big win over someone soon."
Ling has offered trialist George Artemi a four-month contract until the end of January. It follows a similar "prove yourself" deal for midfielder Karl Baker.
Artemi, 19, has been training with the Gulls since early pre-season and has played in friendlies and reserve matches in defence and midfield.
"George could prove to be a useful utility player," said Ling. "He has done a bit better than expected, so I'm going to give him the chance of an extended stay."
Artemi, who has had spells with Leyton Orient, Rushden & Diamonds and Southend United, and Baker will be part of a Gulls squad which is travelling to play Reading's Under-18 side at the Royals' training ground tomorrow.
