A PUBLIC meeting taking place tonight at Bovey Tracey Town Council to look at the future options for care in the Bovey Tracey, Ashburton and Buckfastleigh communities has been postponed due to the weather.

The meeting, which was due to take place at 6.30pm, is part of a series of meetings being held by Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust to gain the views of local people on the proposals to relocate inpatient care from Ashburton & Buckfastleigh and Bovey Tracey Community Hospitals, to Newton Abbot and provide a number of new services from the hospitals.

Dawn Butler, Assistant Director of Operations at Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust said: “It is extremely unfortunate that we have had to postpone the meeting tonight, and we would like to apologise to those residents who were planning to come along.

“The current weather conditions and forecast mean that it is just not safe for local residents or staff to attend.
