RYAN Bougourd stared with bat and ball as Bovey Tracey A defeated Kingskerswell by 73 runs to stay top of the table with one game to go.

Bougourd hit an unbeaten 38 in support of Pete Bradley's 57 as Bovey raced to 206 for one in the Ashmoor Centre.

Although Paul Mitchell crafted an unbeaten 74 in Kerswell's reply, he lacked serious support. Bougourd claimed two for 15 as Kerswell were bowled out for 133.

Second-placed Ashburton B were without a match, which means Bovey have gone two points clear of them at the top.

Even if Bovey lose their final game of the regular season – against Cockington this Sunday – Ashburton cannot get past them.

Bovey's net wicket figure of +21 means Ashes (+8) are resigned to second place.

Bovey will go through to represent South Devon on the county finals next month.

Kingsbridge are on course for a respectable third in the final table following a 57-run triumph over Cockington.

Ashley Treeby (41) and Bhanuka deSilva (27) led the way as Kings totalled 147 for three.

Cockington ran out of steam at 90 for three with Jono Colgate their leading run getter with 33.

Ashburton B got the better of Bovey Tracey B in a low-scoring affair, which they held out in to win by two runs.

Bottom side Abbotskerswell finished their season a week ahead of the rest, but there was no happy ending against Stokeinteignhead, who beat them by four wickets.
