Bringing Shakespeare's tale of Macbeth to a young audience
THERE will be a re-worked, family-friendly version of Shakespeare's Macbeth at The Dartington Hall Estate on Saturday, March 16.
The Dartington Hall Trust is very excited to be supporting Contender Charlie and Nick Walker's creative and educational take on Macbeth — blood will have blood.
The production is specifically aimed at children aged nine to 12 years old, designed to be an accessible introduction to Shakespeare.
The production has been touring the UK throughout February and March and is expected to reach more than 3,000 young people as well as public audiences across the four venues.

Workshops have been taking place throughout the week with local schools and aim to land the children right at the centre of the tale, using story-telling, movie-quality sound and projections to bring the story to life.
Ben Walden, actor and director of Macbeth — blood will have blood, said: 'In Contender Charlie's years of working in schools we have found Macbeth holds a particular fascination for many children.
"Macbeth is partly a play about the abuse of power, and perceptions of power are a major theme in the life of young people.
"Our production looks to explore this and ask questions about what is involved in using power wisely and ethically in the service of more than just our own interests."
