Bus service website helps passengers on the move
A NEW mobile-friendly bus website has been launched to help passengers get timetables, maps and information.
The popular Torbay Bus Routes already has thousands of followers on its website, Twitter and My Stop mobile phone site to help bus users find up-to-date info while out and about in Torbay.

Now the company run by 17-yeasr-old Torquay Boys' Grammar pupil Elliot Massey — whose aunt is Dragon's Den entrepreneur Deborah Meaden —has launched the new mobile website.
Customers can download PDF timetables, maps, and a ticket guide, as well as view live bus updates from Torbay Bus Routes' Twitter service and link to MyStop for bus departures throughout the Bay.
Sam Moss, of Paignton, says of the new site: "It's brilliant and easy to use. There's all the information you need in one place."
The mobile site provides key information from the standard Torbay Bus Routes desktop at www.torbaybusroutes.co.uk
Elliot said: "It is hoped the site will be a hit with those who are travelling by bus, away from a computer, who want to download timetables, a map, the ticket guide, or view the latest live bus updates, provided frequently and daily via Twitter."
Torbay Bus Routes was launched in August, 2010, and has grown to become Torbay's one-stop shop for bus information, with more than 1,500 brand new (unique) users each month.
MyStop, the company's first mobile friendly site which lists bus departure times at major bus stops in the Bay, was launched in October, 2011, and had almost 1,000 users by December, 2011, with continual new users. www.m.torbaybusroutes.co.uk is the second mobile-friendly innovation from Torbay Bus Routes.
Torbay Bus Routes was behind the campaign to restore the 111 bus route in May last year.
It has more than 430 followers on Twitter for its live bus update service @torbaybuses

“I make good use of My Bus Stop in my travels here in the Bay and find it a great help.
However the problem facing buses in the Bay is the planned reduction of the reimbursement paid by the council for free bus passes. This will almost certainly lead to a reduction in services and fare increases. Stagecoach will manage but the smaller bus companies which cover areas Stagecoach don't go will find this reduction too much and could end up closing down completely leaving many people without need to use My Bus Stop as they wont have a local bus service.”
