Capital night walk
THE Newton Abbot trustee of a national charity will be taking on his first fundraising challenge when he walks through the night-shrouded London streets.
Steve McKay, trustee of the eye condition research charity the Nystagmus Network, will walk 15 miles through the capital tomorrow.
Steve is taking part in the night-time walk to raise money to support research into the eye condition congenital nystagmus which has affected him since birth.
He will be joining a team from Nystagmus Network in Fight for Sight's Carrots NightWalk, through London.

Steve said: "There is still a lot to learn about nystagmus, if the money I raise helps scientific and medical researchers to understand it better that has to be good.
"I am looking forward to taking part in the walk and have been walking on some of our local lanes and the coastal footpath."
Steve and the team from Nystagmus Network are aiming to raise half of a £15,000 pot to fund a research grant for nystagmus.
The charity Fight for Sight — the NightWalk organiser — is contributing the other £7,500.
