PICTURE: Car hits kerb and ends up on its side on Totnes Road

An elderly man has escaped serious injury after the car he was driving came to rest on its side in South Devon.

The dark green Rover Mini reportedly hit a kerb on the A381 outside the Denbury Diesels garage in Abbotskerswell at 11:15am today.

Police an ambulance have been called to the scene and are attending to a man believed to be in his 80s.

He is thought to have suffered only minor injuries.

One lane of the carriageway is blocked while police await a recovery vehicle.
