“******the fact is her back brakes locked up and she could not have stopped any of what happened from happening!"******
Yeah, back brakes "locking up" for no reason, firing a car over a wall into a harbour happens all the time, can't move for small hatchbacks in most harbours.
Definitely "just one of those things", could happen to anybody!
Good grief.”

“@ K_chels3ewa: This is a quote from the BBC website; "The vehicle hit a wall, flipped over, and landed on its wheels in the harbour".
With all due respect it sounds like there was some degree of speed involved for this to happen. All around the harbour the roads are pretty tight and need to be negotiated with great care. As for the back brakes locking up, I find this a bit hard to believe, brakes tend not to just 'lock up', and again if she was driving at a reasonablle speed for the area she probably could have re-gained control before "The vehicle hit a wall, flipped over, and landed on its wheels in the harbour".
Sounds to me like she was driving too fast for her ability and the conditions and has made up a story to cover herself - I should know I did it as a younger driver!”

“Actually I know the driver and she would not have ever driven like an idiot because she would not put her life or anyone elses at risk like that! so maybe you should get your facts right before you go spouting stuff on here! the fact is her back brakes locked up and she could not have stopped any of what happened from happening!”
