Care home delighted with Plymouth in Bloom win
The Retreat Care Home in Hooe is delighted to have been winners in this years Plymouth in Bloom competition, cementing their aim to provide not only a high level of care to their residents, but also a comfortable and pleasant home.
The Retreat won Gold Awards in three categories - Best Residential Home, Best Hanging Baskets and Best Container Display, as well as the award for Outstanding Effort - Best in Competition.
"All our staff at The Retreat work extremely hard to ensure that our residents have an inspiring environment and I know that many take enormous pleasure in being able to enjoy the gardens," said Paul Constantine, Director of Sunshine Care, who own The Retreat. Paul continued, "A huge thank you from everyone at The Retreat must go to Colin Gale who is outside in all weathers tending the gardens; he does an amazing job."
The Retreat Care Home has also recently retained their five star food rating from the Food Standards Agency.
