BUSINESS Backer! Costcutter in Brixham has made a donation of £1,500 to support Brixham Youth RFC.

Brixham Youth runs 10 sides from 7-16, a Saturday Club called Rugby Cubs for three to six year olds and has more than 260 children as members.

The money raised will go towards specialist coaching equipment and resources.

Steve Adams, who owns Costcutter, said the money was raised from the 'Making a difference Fund"' which is supported by the sales of promotional items from well-known brands such as Cadbury, Kellogg's and Colman's.

Brixham Youth has been nominated in the quality coaching category of the England RFU Presidents XV Awards. This is a national award with the winner receiving £500 towards coaching development.

The winner will be announced next month.
