CELEBRATE America's Independence Day for free with a musical medley hosted by Riviera Live.

A brand new Creative Torbay stage will be in place this weekend in Princess Gardens, on Torquay seafront.

First up to tread the boards will be local vocalist Jason Abrahams and the Neil Maya Swing Quartet at 11am on Saturday.

Hot on their heels at 2pm comes a USA-inspired blues band headed by Exeter musician Julian Piper.

Julian spent time living in Louisiana where he was quickly accepted by the local blues community and performed alongside BB King.

Currently, Julian organises Blues South West (BSW) promoting blues music in the South Devon area, and writes for The Guitarist and Guitar magazines.

Sunday's music kicks off at 11am with established Riviera Live favourite C J Jackson.

At 2pm Beach Boys tribute band Good Vibrations will bring the weekend's music to a foot-tapping close.

A full Riviera Live programme is now available on www.englishriviera.co.uk and information can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centres in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.
