Chance to see Doris Day classic film at Totnes Community Cinema
THOSE who remember the golden age of the movies are invited to a free matinee film show at a Totnes Community Cinema.
A screening of the Doris Day classic Calamity Jane will be shown at the Follaton Community Centre on November 26.
"It's always been important to us that the cinema is available to the whole of Follaton and the wider community," said Martin Foster, chairman of the cinema group.
"Although we do get elders coming along to our evening screenings, we thought a matinee screening of a classic musical would prove popular.

"We've invited people from a number of residential homes in the area, but anyone over 60 is welcome to come along with their partners or companions to enjoy a free film show.
"It starts at 2pm and there's even free tea and cake so they can get the full community cinema experience!"
The free membership is extended to a partner or companion and the FCC are keen to get the invitation out to as many people as possible.
Community Cinema team will show it on the state-of-the-art cinema equipment they bought thanks to a Big Lottery grant.
