Chess champ vows to return next year
A 14-YEAR-OLD Torquay chess enthusiast experienced the excitement of taking part in the national final of a challenge to find Britain's best young players.
John Fraser (pictured), who lives in Livermead and is a Year 10 pupil at Torquay Boys' Grammar School, took part in the UK Chess Challenge — the largest of its kind in the world involving some 10,000 children.
