Churston vintage gathering
AN AUTUMN Steam Up in Churston has helped raise money for charity.
The event organised by Torbay Steam Fair was held on Sunday in memory of Peter Armstrong, one of the original members of the fair organisation who died earlier this year.
The vintage gathering included a visit from an organ, fire engines, classic cars, birds of prey and stalls, steam engines, vintage cars, tractors, commercials, motorbikes, stationary engines and military vehicles.
All proceeds from the event are being split between Pride in Brixham and the Fishermen's Mission which were Mr Armstrong's favourite charities.

Martyn Hodge, one of the directors of Torbay Steam, said: "It was a very good day indeed. We are very grateful to Richard Haddock who gave us the site for free to allow us to put on the event.
"We don't know how much money we have made yet but it went well.
"This was a special event in memory of Pete as a one off but we have been asked to do it again next year maybe a spring one.
"It was very well supported and we had a fine day.
"The forecast was horrendous but we were blessed with a dry day fortunately especially after the summer event being a wash out on the last day."
