Circus fans line up for free — tickets thanks to Herald Express

BY THE time the sun came up on the first day of Gerry Cottle's big top arriving in Paignton, some 200 people were in line for a free ticket to see the show.

The Herald Express joined up with the circus to give readers 1,000 free tickets to see the spectacle of entertainment.

A show spokesman said the production arrived overnight on Tuesday, August 21 and, by 8am the following morning, hundreds of people were waiting eagerly to bag their seat.

By 10am, more than 500 eager Herald Express reader had got their hands on free tickets.

It took just 24 hours for all the free tickets to be allocated, with long lines forming and productions selling out.

WOW has set up camp on Paignton Green and features 50 acts in 100 minutes including Mad Max Norton the world crossbow champion and the Robbie Robin Rock 'n' Roll Band.

The show runs until September 4 and tickets are still available from www.wowshow.co.uk or 0845 835 50 50.
