THE Lytehouse Cafe, Wine and Tapas Bar, Brixham, is starting a comedy club to banish the winter blues.

The Comedy Club launches on January 26 and will then be held on the last Saturday of each month.

Compered by Garrett Millerick it will feature a range of comedians on launch night.

Welsh comic wizard Noel James will entertain the crowds.

His 2001 and 2002 Edinburgh shows received rave reviews, catapulting him into the upper echelons of the comedy circuit.

He'll be joined by stand-up act Stephen Carlin (pictured above), who performs regularly on the UK circuit and across Europe. He's a frequent performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has previously supported the likes of Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchanta and Felix Dexter.

Also appearing are Steffan Alun and Simon Hillyard.

It starts at 7.30pm.
