A VARIETY show is being staged in Torquay for one night only to raise funds for the town's Rowcroft Hospice.

The show, which features a professional cast from television, radio and the West End, is being produced by Zoe Nickless and directed by her husband Ben, whom she met performing in Strictly Comedy and Dancing at Babbacombe Theatre in 2007.

This was the year Zoe's mother Sue passed away. It was the most difficult time of Zoe's life, but she will never forget Rowcroft Hospice.

Zoe said: "Rowcroft isn't just a place to care for the patient; they also care for family and friends, and one particular nurse even stayed after her shift had finished, just to be there for me.

"It's surprising how many people I know have used or know somebody who has used Rowcroft's support. Let's give something back."

In 2009, Zoe and Ben produced a show at Babbacombe Theatre called A Night to Remember for Rowcroft Hospice, featuring acts from around the Bay and The Krankies. It raised over £3,500 and Zoe and Ben hope to beat that figure with their new show Never Forget Rowcroft Hospice.

The Krankies are in Australia, but many familiar faces from the previous show are set to return. The cast includes Ruby Washington, Paul Cobley, Lisa Walker, Dean Winters, Lisa T Winters, Wayne Champagne, Zoe Harris, Peter Baffles and the Starlight Dancers. There will be a special guest appearance by Tank Sherman (above).

Ben said: "With comedy, magic, music and dancing, it promises to be an amazing variety show suitable for all the family.

"Tickets are at a bargain price and that's because we want to fill the theatre and raise as much money as possible."

Never Forget Rowcroft Hospice is at Babbacombe Theatre, Torquay, on Saturday, March 16, at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £9 for concessions. The box office is open from Monday to Wednesday on 01803 328385. Tickets can also be bought online at www.babbacombe-theatre.com
