FEARS are growing for the welfare of a missing Teignmouth woman.

Police are searching for Dawn Davis, 52, who has been not been seen since about 3pm on Thursday.

She is described as approximately 5ft 2ins tall, is a medium to large build with long, ash blonde hair which she normally wears tied up.

Officers believe she was wearing jeans and a white jumper and had a large bronze coloured handbag when she went missing.

Dawn sometimes wears dark-coloured, square prescription glasses.

A police spokesman said: "There has been a possible sighting of Dawn getting on a train at Teignmouth at around 3pm and CCTV of surrounding stations is now being viewed.

"Considering her recent history, we have high concerns for her welfare."
