Contract to care for Bay's trees
TREE specialists Hi-Line have won a contract to care for Torbay's trees.
Hi-Line Contractors SW Ltd has been awarded an eight-year contract with Torbay Council.
The firm, which has a 190-strong workforce, demonstrated its tree surgery expertise and extensive knowledge of ecology, woodland and forestry management during the rigorous tendering process.
Tree work has been contracted out in the past but not for this length of time.

The aim of this contract is to allow Torbay Council to work alongside a contractor to produce a long-term management plan, in accordance with Torbay's Tree and Woodland Framework.
They will also provide a high standard of tree maintenance, including surgery, planting and other associated services.
Cllr Jeanette Richards, executive lead for tourism and environment, said: "We fully recognise the benefits of long-term tree management and the importance of our trees."
