NOEL Coward's Private Lives is being produced in Teignmouth later this month.

The play is set in the south of France where Sybil and Elyot arrive at an hotel for their honeymoon only to discover that Amanda, Elyot's former wife is in the adjoining suite with her new husband, Victor.

The original production in 1930 starred Gertrude Lawrence, Adrianne Allan, Laurence Olivier and Noel Coward himself, which indicates the recognition the work achieved and has retained over the many revivals in the West End and on Broadway.

The Teignmouth Players production, which runs at the Carlton Theatre from February 23 to 27, will be directed by Sonia Hollands.

The cast includes Angela Healey, Karen Allen, Ian Clatworthy and Will Clarke.
