Creative collaboration as dance group takes up Space at hall
THE Arts at Dartington have welcomed the county-wide organisation, Dance in Devon, to the Space studios on the Dartington Hall Estate.
Along with the move, Dance in Devon has agreed to become a 'Creative Companion', with both organisations assisting each other.

flying start: Dance in Devon's production of Facing North, choreographed by Sarah Shorten Jim Wileman
The move will see Dance in Devon benefiting from the mix of professional artists and events already on the estate, as well as providing the organisation with its own dedicated time to use the world class studios available at Space.
The use of the studios will help to benefit its widespread dance network, further building on its commitment of reaching as much as Devon as possible.

Gillian Dale, executive director of Dance in Devon, said: "Our move to Space on the Dartington Hall Estate and our recent success with gaining an Arts Council Grant marks a significant step for Dance in Devon into a new phase of growth.
"We believe the move to Space will enable us to build on our wide-reach across the county and enable us to put into action our plans to develop the dance sector in Devon."
The Arts at Dartington will also benefit greatly from Dance in Devon taking residence in Space. David Francis, director of the Arts at Dartington, is excited for both organisations to begin work quickly on creating a profile for dance within Dartington's existing festival programmes.
The presence of Dance in Devon at the Dartington Hall Estate will also add further value to the visits to the estate by Wayne McGregor, the Sadlers Wells Summer University and the Rambert Choreographers and Composers retreat.
