Cursed with heavy rain, but Dawlish producer's thriller film finished
A Devon film-maker has almost completed her work on an ambitious new movie.
Diana Townsend, a Dawlish-based producer, has been working on a paranormal thriller set in South Devon.
A crew of 25 members, including her husband and brother, have been working on Deadly Intent for the past few years.
Now the scary film is almost ready to be put forward for debut showings at major film festivals in the UK.

The 90-minute film tells the story of Bryony, who is struggling to build a new life for herself and her young son James after the tragic death of her husband at war in Afghanistan.
Filming finished on Friday and took place mainly inside buildings in South Devon, including the Manor House in Dawlish.
But some of the later exterior scenes were delayed by heavy rain.
Mrs Townsend said: "The majority of the story is set inside, but every time we have ventured out to film the exterior scenes we have been deluged by heavy rain and have ended up losing a lot of time.
"On the last day of filming we still had a critical scene to complete in a field at Splatford and the rain was horrendous. Fortunately most of the scene took place inside a car so the cast managed to keep dry, but the crew was absolutely soaked."
"It is very much a family project. And we've had huge support from local businesses and many other individuals. Dawlish council has been particularly helpful, allowing us to use the Manor House for filming."
It is hoped the thriller will eventually be shown in cinemas, and although producers are cautious not to get carried away by the film's potential, director Rebekah Fortune was delighted with the recorded footage.
She said: "The film is looking amazing. Deadly Intent is going to be a seriously scary movie."
"We only have one major scene left to shoot, which should be completed by the end of November, and then we can move on to editing."
The project is due for completion early next year.
