Czech women face sex trafficking charge
TWO Czech women jointly charged with trafficking people for sexual exploitation in Paignton have been remanded in custody.
Five-month pregnant Renata Kuznecovova, 38, who has lived in the UK for four years, and Nina Hubackova, 21, who moved to the UK three-to-four weeks ago, both now reside at Hyde Road, Paignton, in a property they share with Renata's partner.
Both women appeared before South Devon magistrates sitting in Torquay on Saturday.
The case was delayed while magistrates awaited an interpreter to assist the pair.
They both entered not guilty pleas to the charge of trafficking persons for sexual exploitation between November 11 and November 27 this year.
Prosecutor Alex Allsop, requested the case be sent to crown court for trial.
Alan Parsons, defending Hubackova, and John Darby, defending Kuznecovova, both agreed the case should be sent to crown court.
Magistrates remanded both Kuznecovova and Hubackova in custody until Monday, December 8 when they are due to reappear at Torbay Magistrates court for committal proceedings.
