Dartmouth Caring's Christmas Fete is huge success
Dartmouth Caring has been celebrating after its 2012 Christmas Fete was a bumper success.
The event, held in the historic and atmospheric Flavel Church on Saturday December 1, saw hundreds of visitors pop in to shop, chat over coffee, and raise funds for the charity that looks out for the needy in the Dartmouth community.
Volunteers manned a huge variety of stalls, with books, collectables, DVD’s, games and many other items available together with food and drink refreshments. The Christmas spirit prevailed throughout the day and organisers are celebrating raising vital funds for the charity’s work.
“Lots of people came down to see us,” said Alison Stocks, manager and coordinator of Dartmouth Caring. “We always hold it during the wonderful Candlelit Dartmouth event as this really helps to boost visitor numbers to the town. Everyone was very supportive and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone who came down.
