Dartmouth Lower Ferry closed for three months

THE Dartmouth Lower Ferry is closed to cars from today for a long-term maintenance project.

The Higher Ferry across the Dart is currently the only way for motorists to cross between Kingswear and Dartmouth.

The essential maintenance project will last for three months as South Hams District Council spends more than a million pounds on repairs to slipways.

The passenger service is not affected.
