Held at the The Flavel and some other venues from Tuesday 5 March to Saturday 9 March, the festival also features the popular Mystery Guest night on Wednesday, which has previously featured impromptu gigs from Keith Allen, Eddie Izzard, Harry Enfield and Robbie Coltrane.

Popular comedy act Josh Widdicombe kicks off the Comedy Festival on Tuesday. A TV regular on Channel 4's Stand Up for the Week and the BBC's Live at the Apollo and Mock The Week, his stand up routine 'Further Adventures of Josh Widdicombe' deals with his inability to embrace adventure, relax or enjoy life and his continued frustration. With a diverse and eclectic selection of comedy entertainment including Seann Walsh and Virginia Ironside, the festival promises to entertain all.
