Dave lowered 20ft to rescue cliff plunge dog
A WORRIED dog owner was reunited with her pet by a coastguard team after it plunged 20 foot over a cliff in Brixham.
Titch was chasing a rabbit when he fell through a bush and over the edge.
He was left on a grassy ledge over the cliff edge in Battery Gardens, but was unable to get back up or down. Berry Head and Torbay coastguard teams were called to the gardens to locate Titch just before 9am on Saturday.

He was quickly spotted about half way down the cliff.
Rope technician Dave Sanders was lowered down the 20ft cliff to rescue Titch.
Mr Sanders had to calm Titch down before he could be placed in a rescue bag and winched back to the clifftop.
Titch was uninjured in the incident and was reunited with his concerned owner.
Mr Sanders said: "It was a fairly straightforward rescue.
"Initially there was some concern from the owner about how the dog would react to me, but he was fine.
"He did get quite nervous when I put him in my rescue bag. He tried to get out once and I had to resecure him but after that he was fine.
"We tend to get animal rescues on and off. They come in phases and we will get a couple in a row."
Berry Head station officer Eddie Weller took charge of the incident.
It may be his last cliff rescue as he retires next week after 42 years service with HM Coastguard.
Mr Sanders said: "Eddie will be missed by all the local team who know him and will be leaving behind some very big shoes to try to fill."
