Dawlish bookmakers robbed
DETECTIVES are investigating a robbery at a bookmakers in Dawlish.
The crime was committed between 9.15pm and 9.20pm last night when a man walked into the shop in The Strand.
A police spokesman said the robber threatened a member of staff before making off with 'a substantial amount' of money.
He is described as being a white man in his 30s to 40s, five-foot-ten-inches and wearing a black hooded coat, dark blue jumper and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.

As he left the shop, he may have been in company with a woman in her twenties.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact them. In particular, they are interested in speaking with dog walkers may have been exercising their animals in the area at that time of night.
