Debate to focus on Dartmoor conservation
A public debate about Dartmoor's archaeological heritage and its conservation is being staged later this month.
The event is being held by the Dartmoor Society at Meldon Village Hall to mark the 60th anniversary of the creation of Dartmoor National Park.
Society chairman Dr Tom Greeves said: "After 60 years of national park status this is a good moment to consider how much we have learnt about Dartmoor's amazing archaeological landscape and to reflect on whether it has been looked after well."
Organisers say advance booking is essential for the debate, on September 24, which starts at 10am. Bookings should be made before September 16. Tickets cost £15 for members or £16 for non-members which includes coffee, lunch and tea.
