LUNG-BURSTING efforts by Martin Billis and Stuart Allen were the highlights of Dartington II's 4-1 (18-7) win over local rivals Kingsbridge.

Billis produced a memorable performance to beat the tough Anthony Jones 3-2 and secure Dart's victory on the night.

Then Allen covered every inch of the court in an outstanding display of retrieving.

Squire was forced to take risks to seek winners, made mistakes and Allen won 3-1.

The extra points were important, as they kept Darts in with a shout of promotion from Division Three.

Earlier in the evening Dartington's Dominic Blackborrow had no luck with a series of 'nick' shots and lost 3-1 to Kings' John Stevens.

Alex Stevens hit back to beat Rupert Murden 3-1 and level the tie.

No.3 Simon Mitchell outran and outfought Mark McClaren 3-0, his best display of the season.

Darts followed up with a 17-9 win away to Paignton III.
