A RISE in business has forced an office move for brothers Luke and Tom Hutton who run Bay design company LukeTom.com

Amid stories of business closures, redundancies and downturn, the Paignton brothers, together with their team, recently moved into newly re-furbished offices – 50 yards up the road – to cope with their ever expanding client base.

Tom said: "We do count ourselves very fortunate our turnover and client base has increased for the fourth year running.

"The whole luketom idea was born out of luck really. Luke and I both had our sole trading businesses, mine called TRH Design and Luke's was Hutton Design. We both had different clients but essentially, we provided the same core services.

"Then along came one particular new client which required the need for a combined effort, hence, luketom.com was born and we haven't looked back."

For years Tom and Luke only worked within design for print, with Luke working as the production manager at South West Auto Trader for 10 years and Tom managing the design studio of Devon Life.

Today Luketom.com are constantly adding new sites to their web portfolio, more recently they have finished a new web site for Phil McIntyre Entertainments live music promoter, with a string of artists dating back to 1974.

Luke said: "Now we have stepped up another gear, the logical step was to improve our surroundings. Luckily we didn't have to look too far and our office move was literally only 50 yards up the road."

Their new offices have been completely refurbished with new furniture, a full-size pool table to 'snatch the odd frame on a lunch break'.

"People often ask us if we argue about business matters. The truth is, we don't – together we both captain the helm of a happy and productive ship and the future so far, is looking good," said Luke.

Customers old and new are invited for a free consultation.
