THE Teignmouth Players present Treasure Island at the Carlton Theatre, Teignmouth this festive season.

Director, Amy Burton Smith, is no stranger to panto having been a regular performer for many years .

With almost 40 keen actors, the cast are ready to launch the good ship Golden Behind on it's adventurous voyage.

All your favourite characters are on board including the villainous Long John Silver, scheming to get the better of Jim Hawkins and Squire Trelawny.

Amy said: "In addition to the cast, the scenery and costumes, being designed by Jane Branch and Mary Fossey respectively, are outstanding, as is the choreography under the guidance of another talented youngster, Cara Falcao."

Audience members are encouraged to dress as pirates when they go to see the show and for those who go early, there will be face painting to transform youngsters into pirates.

It runs from December 28 until January 5.
