REGULARS and a familiar face from the past have been catching carp at New Barn Farm despite the cold weather.

Former owner Andrew Buchanan visited the Specimen Lake a couple of time and had some carp to the bank, but only left details of his first fish an 11lb mirror caught in deeper water with a boilie.

Scott Bryant visited twice and had five carp to 17lbs, being a mix of commons and mirrors. He caught all from the bottom with an unspecified boilie and one using a zig rig. Bryant's total weight was 69lbs.

Catch report lotto winner B Longley caught more than 3kg of roach, rudd and perch from Willow Pool using maggots.

Regular Bob Bartrum of Brixham had 8lbs 8ozs of roach and rudd from Island Pool. Bob also used maggot and topped them up with castors.

A night session saw John Stanley from Paignton land two Carp totalling 25lbs. Both were commons of 14lbs and 11lbs.

Fishing swim eight, Christian Scales had a mirror carp of 23lbs 8ozs followed by a common of 13lbs.

During a late evening session, Jack Lord had just mirror carp of 18ls 15ozs from swim seven.

Darren Blackler fished swim one just off the island with a zig rig to about four feet and weighed in two carp. HIs catch was two commons of 9lbs 4ozs and 15lbs 8ozs.

Louie Russell, managed to get three carp to the bank. He weighed his two mirrors in at 16lbs and 17lbs then followed with a common of 15lbs.

Dan Court, fishing swim four with mainline cell boilies, brought in Parrot the mirror carp at 18lbs.

Fishing partners Cameron Jones and Drew Mangan fished swims two and three. They used local Carp-Tec pineapple boilies and some mainline cell to weigh four carp to 12lbs.

Jones had one at 10lbs and two both of 12lbs. Mangan had a nice common of 11lbs.

In March a 24-hour charity match in aid of Help for Heroes is being staged.
