THE leading family attraction Crealy Great Adventure Park, located just outside Exeter, is launching Explorers Week during February half-term in a bid to encourage more families to explore everything the award winning family attraction has to offer.

Chris Down, CEO for Devon's Crealy, commented: "Crealy is set in over 100 hundred acres and features over 60 fun-filled rides and attractions for children of all ages to enjoy.

"But what we found was that most families have got into the habit of only visiting certain parts of the park.

"We hope creating a treasure hunt-style activity called the Explorers Trail, given to every child on entry to the park, will help encourage more people to rediscover or unearth even more fun."

It is also hoped that the activity will help stimulate children's imaginations as they wander through the park finding clues and racing to the next part of the adventure.

Chris added: "The activity is relevant for all ages and once completed, each child will be able to collect a medal from Guest Services as a reward for their efforts.

"We are also encouraging families to enter the results of the Explorers Trail onto our new, state-of-the-art website which we are also launching at half-term, as all correct answers will be entered into a very special competition where we are offering the chance for a family to win four flights to Barcelona, courtesy of Flybe."

In keeping with the explorers theme, on Tuesday February 19, Devon's Crealy will welcome a very special guest, Dora the Explorer.

Dora, always eager for the next adventure, will carry out special meet and greet appearances at intervals throughout the day.

Alex Leger, producer, director, cameraman and author of Blue Peter: Behind the Badge, will also be on park. He is making a special visit on Monday February 18 for a book signing and will happily answer questions about is wide-spanning career. His novel is a revealing behind-the-scenes journey through four decades of Britain's much-loved children's television programme.

Crealy is committed to delivering family value and is continuing to offer '7 days of fun for the price of 1' (one-day pass entitles entry to the park for seven days) and annual passes offer families a great way to keep the kids entertained all year (£52 for the year).

During half-term, Crealy is also offering a great deal on memberships, with four memberships for the price of three.

The park is open everyday during February half-term (Saturday February 16 to Sunday February 24) from 10.30am to 5pm and will be open every weekend until March 24.

From March 28, the park will then be open seven days a week and Crealy has two new exciting attractions coming at Easter – Safari Train and Jungle Wars.
