Exploring the life of Jesus
SCHOOL children in Torbay will have another opportunity to explore the life and impact of Jesus Christ through an interactive, out-of-the-classroom learning experience that proved to be a resounding success last year.
The Life Exhibition, which travels the length and breadth of the country and is visited by an estimated 1,000 people a week, is returning to Upton Vale Baptist Church, Torquay, from Tuesday, June 28, until Tuesday, July 5.
The exhibition, created by the national Christian organisation, COUNTIES, has been organised in the Bay by Naomi Adams, pictured, Upton Vale's Children's and Youth Worker.
The exhibition is designed to help schools deliver elements of the Key Stage Two Religious Education curriculum. Visitors use hand-held PDA technology to move through the exhibition, which also includes DVD and music clips and a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? style quiz. More than 600 primary school children from 12 local schools are already booked to visit the exhibition during the week.

Naomi said: "The multimedia experience aims to help the children discover the identity and life of Jesus in a relevant and engaging way. After the success of hosting the exhibition last year and so many positive comments from both pupils and staff, we are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to schools free of charge again this year".
National Life Exhibition co-ordinator Martin Buckley said: "The purpose of the exhibition is to give people an opportunity to think for themselves about who Jesus really is and let people make up their own mind."
On the evening of Monday, July 4, the exhibition which has something for all-ages, will be open to the general public from 7pm to 9pm.
Admission and refreshments in the purpose-built café are free. For more details please contact the Upton Vale Baptist Church Office on 01803 400403.
