FOOTBALL: Moore's strike gives Exmouth Vase victory as Buckland batter Porthleven
The second qualifying round of the FA Carlsberg Vase was a good one for clubs from the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League, as only two of their nine participants went out of the competition.
Pride of place must go to Division One East outfit Exmouth Town, who travelled to Toolstation Western League side Wells City and won 1-0.
Jamie Moore's 28th-minute goal earned his side a third-round tie against Sherborne Town, who beat Bridport to earn their trip to Devon.
Division One West side Porthleven found former Peninsula League outfit Buckland Athletic too strong for them. Matt Dawson's last-minute goal was a consolation in a 7-1 defeat at Homers Heath.

The Ashes needed extra-time to win 2-1 atRadstock Town. Player-manager Ben Newby gave the Somerset side an 80th-minute lead which Aaron Cusack's header cancelled out, with Dimitri Kanakh grabbing the visitors' winner in the 111th minute.
Cullompton Rangers were the other Peninsula losers as they were crushed 8-1 at Odd Down, with Ryan Leverton scoring their consolation.
St Blazey will entertain Barnstaple Town after two goals from Seb Broomfield, plus Lewis Coombes effort saw them beat Bishop Sutton 3-1 at Blaise Park. Kyle Shawcross scored for the visitors.
Bovey Tracey's first FA Vase tie was a success as they beat Welton Rovers 3-0 at Mill Marsh Park, where Jared Lewington struck twice alongside Hayden Roe's effort.
Bovey Tracey will travel to St Austell, who required extra-time before Will Tinsley's effort gave them a 1-0 victory over Somerset side Ashton and Backwell United, who had Nathan Rendell sent off after 14 minutes.
Bodmin Town bounced back from the disappointment of their midweek FA Cup exit as goals from Steve Colwell, Chris Luxton (penalty), Olly Brokenshire and Shane Krac gave them a comfortable 4-0 victory at Minehead.
The Peninsula League Premier Division was reduced to five games, with Launceston closing the gap on leaders Tavistock to two points after Paul Chuwen's second-half goal gave them a 1-0 home victory over Camelford.
Bottom club Penzance are steadily improving, as their 2-1 defeat at Newquay suggested, with Callum George scoring their goal after Shaun Middleton (penalty) and Luke Weldhen had given the Peppermints a two-goal advantage.
Michael Landricombe and Lee Salmons were Elburton Villa's scorers as they ended a run of two consecutive defeats by beating Liverton United, who had Jack White on target, 2-1 at Haye Road.
Torpoint Athletic gained their first victory of the season as goals from Josh Fenwick, Dean Smith and Brian Stacey saw them beat Ivybridge Town 3-0 at The Mill. Goals from Ross Pope and Lewis Caspell saw Falmouth Town win 2-1 at Witheridge, who had Jordan Charran on target.
