Angie Beasley, director of Miss England Limited, said: "I am delighted to bring the Miss and Mr England finals to Torquay, a beautiful place for our wonderful finalists to visit. As a special thank you to the Torbay Tourism Association two female finalists from Devon are being invited to participate in the national final of Miss England. Miss Torquay will join Miss Devon in the final."
They will be trying to follow in the footsteps of Charlotte, 23, who won Miss Devon in 2012 and is now the reigning Miss England and finished eighth in Miss World.
Linda Hill, from Torbay Tourism Association, who worked with the organisers to help secure a venue and accommodation, said: "We are thrilled to be having a Miss Torquay here for the first time. We are absolutely overwhelmed to think we will be showing Torbay off to the world and I hope lots of visitors will come down and see what a special and beautiful place it is and more people will come down on holiday here."
